Pecan Crisps

20 min prep / ~ 1 hour cooking

1 cup margarine
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups plus 3 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 lb pecans finely ground
pecan halves

1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Cream together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour, soda and salt and blend well. Add ground nuts.
3. Drop from teaspoons onto an ungreased baking sheet, about 2.5 inches apart. Place a pecan half in center of each cookie.
4. Bake about 9 min. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Makes 5 dozen.
