| 1 lb | ground beef | |

| 1 cup | onion | chopped |
| 2 cups | tomatoes | chopped |
| 1 | apple | cored and diced |
| 1/4 cups | raisins | |

| 1. | Saute beef, garlic and onion. Add tomatoes, apple, raisins, spices, and broth or water. Simmer. |
| 2. | Use in stuffed peppers, enchiladas, etc. |
