Pasta with Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Italian sausage |
hot or sweet or both |
| 1 large |
green bell pepper |
sliced into 1" strips |
| 1 large |
red bell pepper |
sliced into 1" strips |

onion |
sliced |
| 4 cloves |
garlic |
chopped |
| 1 lb |
pasta |

| 1 28 oz can |
whole peeled tomatoes |

In a large skillet, saute the peppers, onions, and garlic in olive oil. Meanwhile, remove casings and break up the sausage into 1 inch pieces. Cook in a separate skillet over medium high heat until brown on all sides. Remove sausage from heat. |

When the veggies are soft, add the tomatoes with their juice, breaking them up with your hands. Reduce heat so it's at a simmer. After a few minutes add the sausage to the skillet. Cook for 15-20 minutes until the tomatoes breakup and are saucy. |

Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and add the pepper-tomato-sausage mixture. |
