German-Style Bratwurst

20 minutes prep / 3-6 hours cooking
serves 6 to 8

4 lbs bratwurst
2 lbs sauerkraut
6 apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1 white onion thinly sliced
1 tsp caraway seed
black pepper freshly ground
5 bottles German-style beer (12 oz each)

1. Combine all ingredients in a Crock-Pot slow cooker. Cover.
2. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, or until done.
